Terms & Conditions – Conditional Government Battery Rebate (Election Dependent)

This offer is provided subject to the following Terms and Conditions, which relate to the Australian Labor Party’s proposed battery rebate scheme, announced as part of their 2025 state election policy.

Overview

This conditional rebate offer is made available in anticipation of the Labor Party winning the upcoming state election scheduled for May 3, 2025. The rebate is intended to assist eligible customers with the cost of battery storage installation.

Important: This rebate is not guaranteed and will only be honoured if Labor forms government following the May 3rd, 2025 state election.

Rebate Launch Date

• The official launch date of the rebate is July 1, 2025.
• Only systems commissioned on or after this date will be eligible to apply for the rebate.

Eligibility Conditions

To be eligible for the conditional rebate:

• The battery system must be installed between now and June 30, 2025.
• The system must not be commissioned or turned on until after July 1, 2025. Customers agree to keep their battery system offline until that date.
• The customer must pay the full cost of the system up front, with the understanding that any rebate will be provided as a cashback reimbursement after July 1, 2025, subject to the conditions below.
• The customer agrees to any verification, inspection, or commissioning checks required by the rebate scheme.

Cashback Rebate Conditions

• The rebate will only be paid if the Labor Party wins the state election and forms government.
• The final terms, value, and administration of the rebate will be subject to Labor’s official program rules, which will be released post-election and prior to July 1, 2025.
• Cashback amounts and eligibility are not guaranteed and are contingent upon:
  • The Labor Party forming government.
  • The customer complying with all scheme requirements.
  • The system remaining uncommissioned prior to July 1, 2025.

Customer Acknowledgement

By proceeding with installation under this offer, the customer acknowledges and agrees that:

• They are participating at their own discretion, with no guarantee of reimbursement should the Labor Party not win the election.
• They will bear the full cost of installation and commissioning unless and until the rebate is confirmed and processed.
• The battery must remain off and uncommissioned until July 1, 2025, to maintain eligibility.

General

• This offer is not a government rebate, subsidy, or financial assistance unless and until the Labor Party successfully forms government and formally enacts the programme.
• We do not accept liability for any changes in government policy or election outcomes.
• Customers should consider their personal financial situation before committing to the installation under this conditional offer.
