Tigo TS4-A-O Micro Inverter

Increase energy production with shaded & mismatched modules.

Tigo TS4-A-O micro inverter

What's a micro-inverter?

Take full advantage of the production of each individual solar panel in your system, even in partly shaded installations! All solar PV systems require inverters to transform the DC power coming from the solar panels into AC you can use at home or export to the grid. When solar panels are installed in a string, the current generated gets reduced to that of the least producing panel in the string.

Unlike string inverters, micro inverters will convert the maximum power generated by each panel individually - maximising the overall power output you can get out of your system. Micro inverters are particularly useful for:

  • Challenging installation conditions (like multiple panel angles, shading issues, etc.)
  • Making solar systems easy to expand in the future
  • Adding a layer of panel-level monitoring which is not available with string inverters
  • Rapid shutdown capability

TS4-A-O

Description

Optimisation is a Flex MLPE function available as an integrated modular junction box base (TS4-O) or as an add-on unit (TS4-A-O). Design using unequal string lengths, mixed orientations, or areas of mismatch. Install in shaded areas with a reduced setback ratio. In addition to optimisation, the TS4-A-O enables module level monitoring, and rapid shutdown in compliance with NEC 2014, 2017, 2020.

Cloud Connect Advanced (CCA)

One of the smallest solar data loggers on the planet, Tigo's Cloud Connect Advanced (CCA) enables valuable insight into module level performance data. It is the hub for data from Tigo's O, S and M products and customers can also connect their inverters, batteries, building meters, and more. Real-time and historical data from the CCA can be viewed in the Tigo Energy Intelligence platform. The CCA is available as an add on kit, or integrated with inverters. It is supported by all major string inverter and module manufacturers worldwide.
